    well at 200mm that bump has to be big to stop you. going off the 1/4 rule 200mm wheels can handle a 50mm bump. this about 1.9 inches. So deck height is the limiting factor. I have scooter with 100mm wheels it can handle bumps about 25mm in size. 200mm wheels should handle ruff side walks no problem.

    • @theWZZA
      @theWZZA Місяць тому

      @@spark300c that is not my experience. One inch is enough to give a very unpleasant jolt and toss you if you are caught off guard. Get one and put your theory to the test.

      @spark300c Місяць тому

      @@theWZZA I am put my theory to the with models. I ride scooters. Also about speed and shocks. shocks help take the jolt out. the side walk I riding on has bumps as big 20 to 25mm. So around 3/4 of an inch. so So with 100mm wheels that 1/5 ratio. with out shocks you have hit at slower speed. with 200mm wheels at slow speed you should get over one inch bump. which almost 1/8 ratio.

    Ì use a micro punch to repeen the pivot and bolster pins on knives that have loosened up. I took a 1/8" long shank punch and put it in my drill press on low speed and filed it to size and polished it as it was spinning in order to not get it off center. I have several in diffetent diameters to fit different knife brands and models. You can use a nail also. File it to size, then harden the end. It works just fine but doesn't last long.

    Interesting video. I’m 66 now. And started out in a very tough generic scooter. I gave it to the youngsters after 15 years. I’m using Micro-Scooters now. Mainly because they’re available locally to me. I always pack on in the car. I have two. A 145mm wheel one, and the 200mm/ 8 inch wheel versions. I also use electric scooters too. But can scoot up to 10 miles no problem. I also use your little foot trick to change feet. I’m a size 11, so space is limiited. The workout one gets from scooter riding is very good for all the muscles.

    Great video! I like the comments. I got my A6 a few weeks ago and the last leg of my commute to work is 2.4 miles. I was debating about it because I don’t want to arrive all sweaty. I’ve done it on my bikes but having to change trains in the middle forces me to go down the stairs and then up another set of stairs. The scooter should solve that. Your station looks like my transfer station in Oakland CA: MCArthur BART station. Lucky you having all those biking lanes. Further inland we have them but no maintenance and cars flying at 50 mph by you. I use the sidewalks because they are smoother and wide. Your video helped me make up my mind. I’ll scoot more times a week to work. Thanks.
